I’m looking for the correct procedure for a fem replacement .
I have 1 damaged fem , water damage
I have one new fem from the dealer for this vehicle .
I know thst I can get a full back up from the ori .
Now my question is the following what’s the correct way to do this ? I’ve done many of these In the past but they were used . So there was no issue ,
I’m just curious if it would be the same procedure with this one ????

Brand new FEM should already have vehicle order, ISN & keys. I've only used ISTA+ for new FEM programming but I think autohex you can do individual programming / coding. May need to Initialize flexray as well.

If brand new from dealer just need to do programming for GW and body but most cases it will be no FA in it. so check first if you are able to go inside coding/programming on new FEM.

Autohex staff helped . And the process was pretty straight forward .
They did make a change to the settings in my device ,
Then made backup of FA
After I plugged in new FEM
And following options
1 fa manager , and I loaded FA and wrote it.
2 Programing , programmed the options thst were available
Then
3 ista , starter lock , and flex ray initialization ,,, and done !!!
