Hello I have a BMW 430 2017 which has had all the airbags replaced with used. can used airbags be coded in? I do keys but have been asked if I can do this

Used airbags require no coding.
Used ACSM control unit requires coding.
Last vehicle i replaced ACSM with used, (F15 - X5) individual programing / coding in AUTOHEX all worked but VIN number in module did not change.
I left VIN number unchanged / no warnings or other issues.
