I have a F30 for which i need to change the transmission control unit.I have bought a new control unit can i program and code the new transmission unit using autohex

Sure you can. Just go to programming and proceed flashing from there.

I mounted the new transmission control module and programmed it , It works good , the job was done in less than ten mins
