hi please advise. I replaced 2007 DME X5 with a same exact part# Bosch 0261209320.Programing went through and complete.Car can not start with fault code 2f44 EWS preventing manipulation. I put the original DME back realign DME CAS and it start. I check the ISN in the DME and it is different. not change after program.This is EWS4. How can I change this value in DME.Thank you

I think u have to change isn in cas to match your dme. That should be the way to go.

Thank you iamfooser but EGS is EWS too. I think edit CAS ISN might had problem with transmission.

Can you please check cas with manual coding and see if there is an option to turn off gearbox security.

I don't think there's an option to disable gearbox security.

Only thing that'll work is to change ISN in ecu. I don't think Autohex can write ISN into these ECUs, but please correct me. In cases like these, it's usually easier just to clone the Ori ECU using BDM.

hi in this case if the car is with EGS 6HP you can read isn from donor dme and write it to original cas.But if it is with 8HP EGS you must write original ISN for car to the new ecu using isn boot mode software.after matching ISN just do codding for dme from indiv codding.

i m 100% that this is 6hp. just write isn from dme to cas and reset egs. i ve done this on x6m with msd85 and everything was good.
