We have for Autohex and it has worked fine with E-series
Now we are trying to get F-series working on bench setup (out of the car), it is 2011 F20 1 series 116i N13 engine
what exactly needs to be connected for DME to be able to communicate with Autohex,
so far we have connected DME, FEM, start stop switch and antenna ring.

Autohex communicates with FEM but not with DME,
However if i directly connect PT CAN line to OBD socket, then autohex recognise ECU and can read DTC and live data etc, but programming and ISN functions doesnot work,
any suggestion?
Do i need connect dash cluster as well,

what else is needed to connect for Autohex to read ISN from DME?

Hi

I thought you could only do F series models through OBD, not on the bench.

Maybe support can clarify.

Dear Imggroup
We have checked with some of our customers who do a lot of jobs on Bench.
Some of them said it did not work with me,
Some said you must connect Flex ray to FEM as well.
Here I am just a passenger, I am not sure of if this is the solution or not.
Cheers

Hi Justin,
Yes, it should work through OBD, but we haven't got car available, so we need to know what components are required for bench setup,

Hi
We had e-series working without any issue on bench,
for F-series, we have connected, PT CAN and flexray from DME to FEM and all connections from FEM to OBD socket,
still no comms to DME via FEM,
so we are wondering if another module is required to enable comms or does flexray bus has to be terminated,

I can tell you what to do.
You said you can communicate with DME directly, and you can communicate with FEM.
Connect to FEM, enter programming/coding,
Then connect DME directly, and enter ISN manager
Cheers
