Early CAS4 keys with the larger Continental board are not compatible with the later CAS4+/FEM keys that use the smaller HUF board. The newer HUF or Hella keys work with CAS4+/FEM, and are backwards compatible with early CAS4 cars.
You can identify them by the markings and numbers under the battery door.
You also need to verify that the remote frequency matches the car. For American market, frequency depends on build date and immobilizer. All FEM cars are 434mhz. All of the CAS cars prior to 2014 are 315mhz, everything after is 434mhz.

All european cas4 are 868mhz. All european FEM up to 2016 are 868mhz, from that date 434mhz. All BDC are 434mhz, and uses hella keys, not huf or continental. For cas4 with metal quartz use continental or huf keys, with ceramic quartz use only huf keys.

So if I want to cover all F series in UK I must have in stock these keys (without display keys)

CAS4 and FEM up to 2016 - 868 HUF5661
FEM after 2016 - 434 HUF5767 and HUF5663
BDC - 434 Hella - There are 2 different shapes - Are they swapable?

BDC has F15/F16, some MINI's and F45(X1). Also i series has BDC, but autohex can't handle them.

How I can recognise CAS3 and CAS3+ that are used in 1 series E8x after 2007 ?

i am working on 2015 BMW 3 seies F30 , csotummer brought me Car without FEM , somebody else was working on The car and aperently The FEM is completely DEAD , and the car it take Keys 434 mhz frequency ,
now i have a used FEM without key , but its takes 315 mhz , is there anyway i can change the frequency inside FEM from 315mhz to 4343mhz
