I understand how to change VIN in CAS module when replacing, but I have had two people complain about having the old VIN still present when they read it with INPA or Protools. The vehicle starts and everything operates as normal but how can I change the VIN in all UIF entries?

autohex has no UIF editing function. you can edit UIF in bmw e series but not in all modules. Vin in cas is in two places. long vin, short vin. long vin you can change the programming option, you have to change the short vin manually in the hex editor

I now just change the VIN using hex editor, much easier to change since many times I have to adjust CAS mileage so either way I have to connect bdm.
