Hi all, I got the 8HP in F Series job on the table. Usually I clone them but the original and replacement TCM had different SWFLP and this will not allow me to clone. So, I did virgin on the table then, programming and coding on the table. Took it to the customer but the trans will not shift in any gear. Is there anything that needs to be done?

Car is 2014 F30 328i with FEM.

Usually you need to check what faults the 8HP EGS has and follow up

No fault codes, shifter is sending CAN messages to the TCM. Car was reprogrammed and encoded using the factory software after installing the TCM, all modules. Of course I did program it and encode it with Autohex after the virginising.

I was thinking about that but I think a trouble code would be present.

Check sensors, solenoids values in live data/Actutations. Although any incorrect value will report a fault.

Had to refund the customer. The EGS was still locked to the old car. Someone unlocked it for him remotely. It is working now.

yes there is a tool that can be done remotely. I have them . it works on all 8hp (f series). AH4 has to fix these functions. G series doesn't work as it should
