I have a 2015 328i , with n20 engine .
This is a flooded Bmw , so fem has water damage . But I was able to make a back up of the fem from the original fem .
Now the donor fem , first , I unlocked and reset miles . The. I saved my bdc unlock file .
I next tried to write isn , module not responding was my error ,
Then I went to cas replacement module not responding ,
I then went to Programing , and noticed ,
Fem gw. Does have a hardware part num and sw part num
Fem body does have a hardware part num but no sw part number .
I try to program and it says not responding ,
I try to restore , and after still nothing in the sw part number .
Anyone have some help for me or ideas ,,,, by the way all of this is in bench ….

Get MCU's and eeproms from Your flooded FEM and solder to donor FEM, all will work, I did it many times.

Please make sure ENET setting is active from configuration page of your software. If OFF this can cause communication error.
