I updated MSD812 ECU in E90 with Autohex from assembly nr 7588220 to 8687976. After update there is an error and check engine light is on. What it may be the reason of this situation ? Car has never had from factory brake vacuum sensor , I checked in ETK .

Hi

I know what the problem is with this.

I had the same problem on an ECU i was working on.
It seems that certain DME software versions cause this problem. You will have to flash the DME again with an earlier version of software. I flashed mine with WINKFP with an earlier Daten file.

You wont be able to get pass this without an earlier firmware version.

Thanks

I thought so , I'm curious how they deal with it in authorized services ?

there is a technical campaign in certain countries.

>a vacuum sensor gets mounted on cars with manual transmission
>software update performed and a test module carried out

ask your local dealer if a campaign is open for this car.
there are no costs if so.
