Has anyone successfully swapped a transmission on a BMW X5 e70 2010.
i'm not sure if its a 6HP or 8HP as i dont have the car in yet.

From March 2010 x5 will have 8hp gearbox.
I suppose it is not a problem to swap 6hp
The problem might be with 8hp though.

customer tells me its 8HP, but he only has the the doner box and no other modules, any possible way to do this without cas/dde for doner box

You can reset it by using another CAS, then you send it to your customer.

i dont have the cas for the doner box and the doner box is already been fitted to the car

F series 8hp works beautifully. Very quick and simple. E series 8hp is the problem...

X3 2012 is f series which can reset EGS in just one click from isn manager.For E series 8HP if you manage to get ISN from the original CAS for used EGS you can replace with secondhand.

Yes, US X5 35D diesels ONLY will come with the 6hp.
