Hi, friends all over the world.

I am John in Korea and starting to use Autohex II.
I had problem in adding key for BMW mini.

Last time before Autohex II upgrade I did add a key but remote function did NOT work.
Today I tried to add a key for 2008 BMW mini, but I could not make any key.

This is what I did.
1. Click on____ Coding/Programming
2. Then_______Key Learning
3. Click_______No.4 --- Next
5. Tried first 1) Blank key with Hpro....does not work.---- Locked Key message pop up, even though it was new blank key.
5. Tried second 2) Use Key file option. opened key file. Programming Key complete message pop up.....and then Nothing Happens!!!

Please help me out!

As far as i am aware, option 4 is only for 'all keys lost'. You should be using option 3 if the vehicle has a key already, and you just want to make a spare key.
Also be aware, that some after market keys are of poor quality, so you need to find a good supplier with quality keys.
Do not use the key file option, unless you have a key from another CAS and a key file already saved.

First of all, my colleague did MAKE a key with 500$ multitool wheare I couldnot make a key with over 5,000 $ AutohexII.
So it is not a matter of key.

Second, I tried option 3, then I couldnot do any thing. thus I tried option 4.

I am not sure Autohex II can do anything for BMW mini.

I was reading every single detail in Microtronik Webpage, but there was no single clue.

Any expert, please tell me something!

I've done 4 R56 keys so far, no problem at all, including downgrading CAS twice with no errors.

Autohex does keys fine,
I believe either key quality is bad or you are doing something wrong,

yes, help/manual of autohex is bit lacking.

take video how you are doing and we will tell you whats wrong

many, MANY autohex2 users are doing keys every day without problems.

Mini keys are bit larger for htag pro so make sure you have good communication between keys and htag pro while programming.If you load key file using option 4 and Autohex says key programming complete then once you insert that particular keys in slot and goes to key learning option 1 it will be shown "Yes" in slot for key number 9.

Admin is right. Mini keys are bit larger for htag pro to fit in the slot, so you should hold them on it while programming. Make sure that the round part of the key is facing towards the programmer.
