I always thought that a new cas ordered with chassis number came with all details for car and keys and just needed sync once fitted,
this is all I have ever done when replacing with a new cas,
when it was fitted to the car with original ecu it worked fine without any errors so would assume the fa is correct. (problem still existed with dme after "repair" from well known repair specialist who insisted it worked fine while on bench) dme has now been replaced and new cas matched was just really trying to match the used cas that came with dme, easy enough to do on car but its 20 miles away hence trying to backup fa from new cas to write back to old cas on bench.
