I am working on a car that need FEM replaced, car was flooded and need new fem module, the car have a key, how to approach with this can autohex program fem from different car ?

I need as well the procedure .
I have FEM module fault(jet wash not working) somebody have procedure for change used second hand FEM ? module

FEM replacement can be done with Autohex with no problem.
I have done few of them and all working perfect.

is original fem DEAD?
does your used fem from donor car has key?
so plugg used fem and go for coding and programming and see if ecu is compatible with fem first.
if not compatible than that fem wont work unless you try to flash.
so if used fem has key than use the key to pull isn of fem from bench
and after you write the same isn to dme.
than you will need to do vin change , elv flashing, and other modules.
and everything should work.
but if you dont have working key than you will have to use option 3 on fem/bdc unlock option.and you do rest
after coding the key.
i am not 100% sure if the original key can be re-used but all my original keys i bought i can re-use them.
i did few and all work out well.
but if FEM and DME not compatible the car wont crank after coding the key, but all function of the car will come on.

i finally got my hw4 and trying to put it for test, i got a fem module from donor car and trying unlock it so i can work with it but when going trout the process step number 1 it saying some flash coding is missing and that it no other option to continue, any suggestion what to do in that case? I thought with autohex we can download flash online even if the module don't have the right one!

make update for fem gw and body from indiv programing then try to unlock it on normal way.

Can it be done on bench ?
Tried doing on bench, the Fem body give me 830c error.
Also tried on different when updating the Fem gw getting 8318 error.

Yep that’s the same error I’m getting also. Can’t seem to find any help through Skype or email with autohex.

There is no problem with the keys, just ignore the NOT BLANK message...I had the same issue with blank keys for F10 868Mhz...Htag showed them NOT BLANK, but anyway I programmed them and everything worked fine, engine start, remote, etc.

I am having same issues, hopefully i will get a reply to message sent to resolve my issue, am i correct in thinking that to replace FEM i need to have original and donor FEM unlocked?

my other option is to use one i have in the garage that is unlocked, i have ISN from the original DME but am unsure if i can program donor FEM with what information i have

Its not mandatory to have original FEM but if you got it will be better so you can save FA and ISN from it.If don't have original one you must get ISN from DME.

sorry for the late reply, tech support came online and sorted within15 minutes, hopefully will do the same in the morning to get customer out of the brown smelly stuff
