Hi,

I have been happy using Autohex II HW4 no problem for few months now. Couple of days ago someone sent me an E90 2010, CAS3 and DME to sync and make key. On the bench I'm using the tricore cable, and a 4A bench PSU at 13V going into the Autohex II. I got the ISN from the DME (MSD 81.2) no problem, flashing down and up, all fun.

Reading the CAS bench I'm having no joy at all.
I'm using:
Red to pin 21 on CAS
Black to pin 12 on CAS.
Green to pin 26 on CAS.
Blue to pin 35 on CAS.

All I get is PSU putting out large current, for less than second, and no comms with CAS.

If I wire using same pins with AVDI, I can read the CAS so its not the CAS being a problem.
I opened the tricore cable connector, and blue and green wires seem fine, soldered well, and continuity.

Any suggestion as to what the problem might be, and how I read CAS3 on the bench ?

I tried your suggestion but it didnt communicate. You post then says try +12v to pin 34, which is what your diagram says, so is there something I missed ?

Bear in mind the interface works to communicate on a car just couple of days ago, just fine. This CAS3 also works to communicate with AVDI on bench, so its looking to me like Autohex software might be broken for bench communication ?

Any more suggestions I can try ?

Try to use standard OBD Autohex cable and connect like I say you +12v,ignition, ground CAN H , CAN L

I know it looks like I cant do basic tasks, but this does not work. I have tried with OBD Cable and with tricore cable. Is there some setting in the software, or anything like that ? It does not communicate with On Bench menu CAS Firmware or Fault Codes. The DME connects fine on bench, and I can communicate with AVDI using the same connections,

I say you try using standard OBD communication not on the bench

Pinout for bench cable should work I use it allways for cas2,3,3+ and worx perfect (doungrade,upgrade,fa,keys)
