Hi, I have a problem with cas4 (5M48H) in F07.
I need to replace it, I have a donor from cas4 (1L15Y) with working key.
How to make it work?
Is it enough to swap them and coding or need to do ISN in cas4?
I have tool for 1L15Y, but don't have tool for 5M48H, so can't read it.

Hi..you can try to do it but I think your donor cas not compatible..It is 1L15Y used on older models..I am prity sure you will need 5M48H or 1N35H maskets at least I did when I crashed cas4 before..for adaptation part best way is to read old cas4 eeprom(if avalible) and write to donor(at least xprog needed)..or like you say new cas4 + key so you can read/decript ISN and transfer it to ECU..all can be done by autohex.when you finish ISN part make coding and programing with..I didnt have time to play with 1L15Y maket becouse customer was breathing on my neck 🙂 but if you alredy have it is worth to try

you need to get same MASK version of cas4 for replacement

then how to change cas4 5M48H? tools I have Autohex and r270+
EGS reset autohex don't support, so cas and dde change not gonna work...

yes true at least eeprom read from old cas4 needed and programing to finish the yob..its promised soon by ah-II bdm! if you buy used unit it can be 5M48H or 1N35H 100% tested..prices for new cas are also droped new unit around 220€ and only encode it

yes mate you are absolute right! new CAS4+ 220-250 eur , FEM/BDC 450-490 eur , KEY 320 eur.. my customers who usualy buy 2015-2018 car on auction with one key and than ask me for spare make I dont iven do nomore becouse thay ask dealer first its aprox 300..how the hel I can do good quality Fxx key for 150?? cas4 almost same story...like we all now few years ago there was always a risk doing it iven with expencive programers as xep100 evo and so on..

yust open it and look on procesor directly...or check by manufacture date 2011 after usualy 5m48h..If you want I can check maybe I have a few 5m48h ones
