Hello! i got in service a bmw x6 2008 with comfort access retrofitted. i programmed a comfort acces key to position 4, on position 1 and 2 are remote keys.
the key status is 5 for the comfort access key.
the issue is that only keyless go works and keyless entry does not work(you can start the car without inserting key in slot, but you cannot open doors whithout using the remote)
i did tried to install the cas to a car with comfort access system from factory, and i got the same, only keyless go worked.


my question is: is there any probability that my issue is present because the comfort access key is not programmed to position 1 or 2 in cas.
i need to be sure that the key is okay, to continue troubleshooting...

I believe if status is 5 then it should be fine,
looks like antenna issue (for doors) as long as Keyless Go works

I did installed cas on other car and still only keyless go worked, so i m not sure about it. If the key is not in car i cannot turn ignition on, so the key transmits wireless...

Any chance to be an issue with the key?

Try to move the key to position 1,2 and let's know

currently i agreed with customer to wait until i get autohex.

please be kind and tell me how to i move key from one position to another with autohex. also if i manipulate key data with abrites sometimes the car does not start and i need to use a function named ''encrypt keys to cas''. does autohex need to run this function or i just move keys?

Moving the key is easy.
The question is, do you have a working key in slot 1,2? if yes, are they wireless?
If No,No, then you job will be:
- Save the key data from slot 4
- delete the key No1 from slot
- go to Option 3 and select slot 1, then load the saved file of the key data, then program it ( you may asked to insert a working key, you still can use the same key)
- go back to option 3 and delete the key on slot 4.

yes i have two working remote keys on position 1 and 2, so i would like to move the key from position 1 to position 3 and then move key from position 4 to position 1

current configuration:

-1- remote key (i have this key)
-2- remote key (i have this key)
-3- free
-4- comfort access key (i have this key)

desired configuration

-1- comfort access key
-2- remote key
-3- remote key
-4- free

You need to add:
-making a key on pos 3 from key data on pos 1

With keyless go bmw . You cant program new key ...it will not work function keyless go .
Only you can rewrite pistion 2 or 3 (1 is tranponder ) or add remote key .

I allready programmed the key and the status is okay and comfort acces function allready work partially, so i can argue with your statement. Keyless go is okay, only keyless entry does not work

The curiosity that i have 2 remotes on 1 and 2 and no transponder... position 3 is free.... where should i overwrite the keyless go keys?

Solved the issue of the this retrofit. I moved 1 key 315mhz from a used cas to the cas of my car. I changed the antenna to 315mhz so the remote workes. All keyless function worked only after setting it to position 1.
