Hello, is it possible to program a Mini R56 key with the AH?
i ask because i try reading 2 Mini R56 keys with Hextag and get Always Test Failed.
or is it not possible to read/programming Mini Cooper R56 key with Hextag because key not possible to insert compleet in Hextag device?

hi,
you can program MINI keys with autohex,try to remove key fob and insert key on hextag if have difficulty in recognizing

Hello, you mean remove shell?
this is a R56 2012 with rond key.

i want to test or program a key to the car
because i get no ignition when inserting the key in slot.

get today new key and gonna try to read and program with AH.

yesterday try to read the isk from dme and not possible.
it read till 10% and then jump to full but nothing happend. no isk.
is it not possible to read this isk from a mini R56?
or must make key through cas dump?

if all key lost you need to read ISN on bench.if you can give me the vin i can give you the connection diagram on bench.if car got a working key then no need of isn you can program it from key learning option 3.

i have 2 keys but dont know if keys are oke.
i have order some keys to test if hextag can read them so i know if originals keys are oke or not.
keys suposted to come today but did not come. maybe tomorow.

if hexprog shows that the key is locked / unlocked it is good if you have the message:test failed
it means that the key is damaged,

oke that mean i have both keys damage.
because cant read both keys. both give me fail.
now have to remove dme and read isn on bench.
gonna get the vin for read connection.

try to unlock the keys, maybe it will revive them, strange that you have two keys broken, so you have to read the isn to make new keys,

No, both keys not recognize in slot when inserting by key learning option 1 on Autohex.

today finally came the key for testing and AH recognize the key as unlock.
that mean now i know for sure that both Original keys are damage.

i programmed today the key and car start.
so problem was keys damage.
now try to renew originals keys.

Hi Andrzej, I have renewed the keys but they still dead.
do you know maybe what the common problems are with this type of keys?

you must be careful about opening the housing in the original key. it is easy to break, as in your case the resistors are damaged (you attached the photo), if you renewed the key and it is still not detectable by the hextag it means that the transponder is damaged,

1 key was resistor damage yes.
the other key i opened without damage and renewed and also same.
gonna try to findout how to repair them.

ok here is a update.
i manage to repair one of the keys.
i have reprogram it to the car on slot #1.
car start ok but now remote not working.
from the other key what i have remote working normal.
is there a way that can active remote to working again?
or is key damage?
