I'm working on a 2008 X6. The car bang into gear just on start up after warm up. Transmission error light and fault code 4E8A Monitoring, positive valve is in the EGS. Replaced with used transmission but problem persists. Also replaced round electrical connector Transmission. I've tried to figure out what this code means exactly but there is very little info. on it. Ista D directs to replace mechatronic put 2 used one same issue.

Service Notes
1. Read out error frequency counter. If error frequency is > 2 Replace Mechatronic.
2. If fault is passive: Clear fault memory and conduct road test within monitored parameters (engine start). If fault code is not registered, transmission OK
If fault code is entered repeatedly: Replace Mechatronic
