Hello,
I am providing a service to a customer who has an F10 BMW 528i and damaged his MEVD1729 DME by failed attempt at opening the case, the DME multilayer PCB is destroyed and I cannot recover the ISN or clone the DME like normal.
He has provided his CAS4+ module and key, and the biggest problem is CAS4+ cannot be decrypted without DME ISN to perform ISN transfer to donor DME.
Autohex support has suggested that I could set the DME and CAS4+ ISN to all 0's and it will randomize the ISN and then new keys will need to be programmed.
Before I proceed with this I wanted to ensure that I can program this customers DME on the bench, I am aware that flexray is required and I have a ZGW module to use but need to figure out the correct connection diagram to make it work.
Are any other modules needing to be added to the setup? I have read that DSC module is needed to be able to see the DME as it has the terminating resistor for the flexray system in it? I have an F10 DSC module on hand to use if so.
Any assistance or connection diagrams Autohex or other helpful members could supply I would be very grateful!
