Hi,

Working on E90 LCI build 2009. Did an update of the DME.
-> Old assembly number: 7635350
-> New assembly number: 8688012

Faultcodes BEFORE updating:
-> 30e9 DME: nitrogen-oxide catalytic convertor aging
-> 30ea DME: DeNox catalytic convertor sulphurized

AFTER updating DME following fault code appeared out of the blue
-> 2df3 DME: Brake vacuum sensor, signal (status: ACTIVE, can't be erased)

This E90 doesn't have a brake vacuum sensor. Any idea on how to fix this?

Best regards,

Hi

This is a common issue.

Flash back to earlier assembly number with WinKFP, this will get rid of the break booster fault.

In BMW dealers workshops there is a technical campaign for equipping the vacuum diagnosis system. Go to them and they will do it for free.

Goodmorning all,
Thank you for your replies, very valuable. This morning we heard the same story from another BMW specialist. It seems that this vacuumbrakes sensor is part of the software-update. We will contact BMW today for the parts!

Have a nice day!
