Hi all ,

has anyone experienced "no response from ECU" while cloning / reading 271 DE ecu in boot mode between version 1.0.28 & 1.0.29 ?

1) i tried reading 5 ecus but failed
2) checked all wiring and pins with ohm meter ( all good )
3) ecu has communication while reading using diagnostic machine
4) used a friend's device ( other brand ) to clone successfully ( using 2 among the 5 ecus i tested with hextag )
5) cloning other ecus in factory mode is fine with my hextag

feel free to share any past experiences /solutions

yup i've updated it to 1.0.30 and tried again today but still no luck at the moment

Same thing happened to me today. I checked everything possible but not reading. I was so busy that I forgot to send a message to tech support. I think it gave error ref-972...... I think. The wiring shows two boot pins connections and one signal connection. I have also updated to latest update.

If you have 972 error in boot mode , then it must be some error with wiring, some ecus need multiple boot and signal. So please make sure boot and signal wires are well connected on ECU Pcb.
