Hello,

I have issue again with EDC17CP14

ECU BOSCH
03L906019CT
0281016959
EDC17CP14

I tried to flash with bench mode ECU and get error REF 952 at 83%. It stops writing. I tried 3 times and always stops at 83%. Now vehicle does not start. Can someone please tune in on how to fix this issue? This is the second ecu thats bricked like this. Writing fails and car no longer starts.

Please help what can be done.

..making backup before programming for ECU is key _ especially if you had access to have ECU on bench _

I have backup of internal, external and eeprom. Are the reads from Bench mode and Boot mode the same??

Last time this happened, I tried to write the ecu then in Boot mode and it bricked the ECU and I could no longer read/write in bench or boot, so I don't want to do that and be out another ECU.

Is this just a hexprog problem with EDC17CP14?

Thank you

These are my findings for anyone with the same issue

To read:
You have to choose ECU EDC17CP14 with external flash from HEXPROG2
To write:
You have to choose ECU EDC17CP14 without external flash from HEXPROG2 (will not read under this option. Only Write)
All works if you use this method
